The icon of the Cardassian fleet, the Galor-class Cruiser is a capable and durable vessel. Cardassian starships are, however, lacking when compared to Federation technology; shields are comparable, as are sensors, but engines and weaponry demand a greater amount of space and power.
There are few labs or libraries aboard Galor-class Cruisers, a testament to the Cardassian’s militaristic mindset. Despite their inferior technology, Galor-class Cruisers are potent warships, heavily armed with numerous disruptor arrays and torpedo launchers.
