Marauder-class Destroyers were, at one time, potent and feared war ships. They are, now, vastly outdated. Equipped with cannons and a single spatial torpedo launcher, Marauder destroyers suffer from a very narrow firing arc. Additionally, their archaic systems and lack of deflector shielding renders them incredibly vulnerable to modern day starship engagement tactics. Nevertheless, their excessive crew and passengers accomodations make the Marauder-class Destroyers ideal pirate vessels.
