Captain's Log 2267.191.25 - Mission Report

Gorn First Contact has ended far better than it began. The attack on Travers' colony is a tragic misunderstanding provoked due to the aggressive actions of the Klingon Empire. The Gorn has, apparently, suffered from repeated incursions by the Klingons, to the point that their first reaction was to retaliate against what they perceived was an invasion force on sacred soil. Due, largely, to the actions of Ensigns H'suur, Mirenne, and Marketa, fueled by discoveries made by Ensign Dole and Cadet Pren, we were able to avert another war for the Federation. All involved have been listed for commendations with special provisions for those mentioned above, as well as Ensigns Liara and T'zark, due to their tactical skill in the initial starship conflict.
